I have a Fujifilm S5700 camera which I love. What I was wondering is, can I get lenses to attach on to it to make action pictures sharper? I take a lot of jumping and flatwork pictures but they always seem to come out slightly blurry. I use it on SP2 'Sport'
If anyone can help, it would be great

I don't know the camera you have, but looking up the specs on line, there are a couple of things you can do to stop the blur.

First is to pan the shot; in other words you follow the horse and rider with the camera as you take the shot.

Next, you can alter the ISO of the camera. In old terms the ISO rating referred to the film, and keeping it simple the higher the ISO number, the better it was for high speed / moving pictures.

Last, the S5700 appears to have an auto stabilisation mode, this automatically alters the ISO rating, to reduce blur.

Have a good look at the manual and with luck, some of the above will help.

You might want to ask in Soap Box where there are a fair few great photographers who know about cameras, lenses etc.

Focus on the rider before they come into the jump, then release the shutter when they take off. I used to have this camera and got some great sharp photos from it so it's just down to practice
