I currently have a Kodak digital camera and an almost brand new in the box Samsung handy cam that I NEVER use. I would like to offload both of them and get a really good digital that takes 'multi shots' in succession so my poor husband has less pressure to get the 'legs open' or the 'jump' just right.

2 things -
1. a recommendation on camera
2. where to get shot of my other two?

Thanks

erm?! legs open?! Exactly what sort of pics are you planning on taking?! ;) :)

The sort of camera you get depends on budget. If you've got the budget, get a Digital SLR...I have the entry level Nikon and have used it for pro pics of equestrian events. It does have a 'burst' mode (multi pics in succession) but I never need to use it as it takes the pic as soon as you press the shutter.

It's hard to find a good compact camera which takes decent pictures when on burst without the picture blurring, but I can recommend bridge cameras which is basically a cross between a normal compact camera and a DSLR! Nikon do some good ones but most makes like Fujifilm, Panasonic and Pentax can vary between £90 to £200 but Amazon seem to have pretty cheap prices.

It has the settings of a DSLR camera but the price of a small compact camera and you don't need to worry about buying seperate lenses like you do with a DSLR because most bridge cameras have a digital super zoom up to 30x.

A friend of mine has a Nikon bridge camera and she came down to take pictures of me riding my pony so she could practise her photo taking and the pictures are very crisp and clear even when my pony was going 100 mph over the jumps! Sport mode is the best for taking pictures of animals in motion.
Another thing which I'm not sure you are interested in is that it records in slow motion which is pretty cool! :) Good luck with finding your camera!
