Has anyone competed at Camp Hill near Bedale? Just wondering what the course is like?

I have just entered the boy in his first mini ODE at this venue (only 2ft)....it might be a little presumptious on my part, given that he has never seen a cross country jump in his life, but it is meant for babies to give them a look out, so hopefully all will be well! I guess he has to start somewhere and schooling courses are few and far between near me (Kirkby Stephen)!

Ive jumped that course a fair few times and it is LOVELY really really nice for a first time xc (infact my baby did his first xc round there AND went clear) there are some that worry us silly humans (like a little trakana) but ponies dont seem to bother. It is beautifully built and dressed just like a mini BE event. Good luck!

Brilliant - just what I wanted to hear! I used to do a lot of XC, as I team chased, hunter trialled, evented etc, but have had a LONG time off jumping, so a nice and easy intro/reintro for us is just what we need!

its a really really lovely course, it's built like a compact eventing course, but there's nothing mean on it at all (apart from on the 3'3" course!). it's really inviting, and Eleanor usually runs schooling the day after in case you have problems!

Thanks Jen - it's all sounding good - just what we need!

Think he will have his mind blown away by having to do sooo many things all on the same day, but he has to grow up and realise he needs to earn his keep in some way!! Think he might even enjoy it
