Camping at badminton First timer

Hi it’s my first time ever visiting finally able to go after 20 years of wanting to! Any tips for a first timer? Should we aim to come on the Wednesday night or the Thursday? Can we have a camp fire? I’ve read we should bring our own food/drinks as can be expensive but is there things to do in the evenings?

We went a couple of years ago and I can tell you it was bleddy cold at night, I think it was about 1 degree so make sure you have lots of warm stuff to wear and sleep in! Showers and toilets were very good. Camp fires are a no I think, we took our own food and cooking equipment and were out after breakfast not returning until later in the day. We went to the big marquee bar in the evenings where there were live bands and got drunk and danced you will have a great time.
