We camped at Bramham last year, and had a great time. We were wondering about doing Burghley in the caravan instead this year (friends want to do that). I've just had the leaflet through, and am a bit  at the camping prices compared to Bramham! So I was wondering if anyone who has camped at Burghley can tell me what the campsite is like... Is it far from the shopping village etc? The best thing about Bramham was that it was literally next to the shopping village so it was easy to pop back and forth for meals etc..

hi :)
ive been to burgley about 6 times now and have always had a fantastic time :D
i was also at bramham last year and the camp site there was really close to the action (we stayed in a hotel :( ) the camp site at burgley is not as close although sill only about a 15min walk ,they also have a "shopping drop off point" were you can dump stuff and pick it up when you leave

we used to take a car down for the first few days then walk in on xc day as the traffic is stop -start ,we also used to make a packed lunch for xc day as the food is stupidly expensive

the caravan park is on site and with in a two min walk of one xc fence and runs along side the old roads & tracks and steeple chase course but is a cannie walk to the shopping and arena's and is also uphill on way back

hope thats answered some q's :)

Thanks very much. Still veering towards Bramham! Burghley is not half as cheap to camp. I do love it though. We got engaged there, so its special..:o
