Camping with Dogs

I have (possibly foolishly) decided that I will take my dog camping with me when I go to the Lake District in July. Can you knowledgable lot give me some ideas on what I will need for the mad spangle to accomodate him comfortably in my 2 person tent......and what I have let myself in for?!?!

You might want some waterproofs and possibly an umbrella as the dog will of course take the master suit in the tent and turf you out!
