Just bought Camrosa as my boy has got an old scar on his hind leg, he cut it last summer then it opened again over the winter after getting caught in wire in the field (no longer at that livery yard!) brought him in yesterday and noticed a cut at the same area and thought it had opened up again, thankfully not and just a tiny scrape beside the original wound. anyway bought camrosa as heard it was good for scar tissue and was hoping that after using it would help knit the skin together properly but just realised that i should have bought starter pack as it has the instructions in it. Has anyone used this before is it any good and what the heck am i supposed to do with it, am i best buying the instruction booklet?

The intro pack comes with a pre wash and a remover. It says to only use their pre wash, but I've put it on without using it and never had a problem (and never had to have to use the remover!)

It basically says use a pre wash (have the area clean), wear gloves when you use it (I'd recommend that, I didn't once and my skin felt warm afterwards!) and apply twice a day.

The rest of the booklet describes all the diff things it can be used on.

I used it on a bad cut my mare had on her knee. it had been slightly proud. It healed it up brilliantly. I didn't use it at 1st, but as soon as I did it healed up so fast. The vet said she'd be scarred there and there's not a mark.

I have used it for 5years now. Have never really used the shampoo or ointment remover! Never even knew you were meant to pre wash. I praise it highly use it on my dry skin and sunburn etc, its the same stuff as Elizabeth arden miracle cream I believe. Just put it on the area.

Take great care with Camrosa. It contains heavy metals and is toxic. I certainly wouldn't use it on human skin - the bumff that comes with it warns you to use gloves when you apply it. As far as I can assess, it's a bit like weak Liverpool cream. Flashy ads but please do read the accompanying leaflet thoroughly. If you haven't got a leaflet, you could ring for one but I bet they will insist you buy a starter pack!
