Tia? Or anyone advise please.

New chap has a very old scar on his front leg it's quite big and there's no hair on it, to describe it , it looks like a patch of dryed mud stuck on his leg.

So since I have found out we can do some part bred showing I was wondering if it was worth giving Camrosa a go on it? Or being so old is it a no hoper?

Camrosa will definately shrink it - but whether or not it will go completely I don't know

I have but I'm often a tad secptical of these before and after photo's.

Because it's on the front of his leg it's blatantly ovbious so though I'd give something a go.

How often do you have to apply it? I can't find that bit on the site.

Ive been told it may or may not work -just depends on each horse. It has worked on some parts of my horses skin but not on 1 particular bit.
I just dabbed it on the specific areas then rubbed it in well.Theres some special stuff to get it off with as it goes quite greasy as your supposed to apply it wevery day but I just bathed mine with normal shampoo and it took it off.
Good thing is I found out that camrosa do a sample tub (think its 100g) for £10 - quite cheap to try rather than having to buy the whole started kit.

you may have to put up a bit of a fight for them to just to sell you the tub as they want/like every new buyer to buy the started pack. Just tell them thats all you want!

You could always try Coconut Oil available from your chemist in a pot, I used it religiously on my show horse if she ever had scars etc appear, You can guarentee the more you try to protect the neds they injure themselves!
Coconut oil is a lot cheaper than Camrosa and you won't have to buy the starter pack!

Not it's not proud flesh as it's flat to the surface just a bit of a rough texture , same colour and texture as dried mud really.
Passed the vet with it and it doesn't cause him any problems just doesn't look pretty and is very ovbious without boots on.

I would actually be very surprised if Camrosa didn't work on this to be honest.

I used it once for a horse who had aged proud flesh scars and was totally amazed at the results. Not only did the proud flesh slough off but the hair GREW BACK!! And it grew back black just like the surrounding hair - honestly it totally blew me away.

When ordering from Camrosa if they give you any stink about not buying the whole package just fib and say it is for your dog who has ear mites

Will order the £10 trial size also, as TBH the price of the full pack has put me off in the past.

Being the sceptical type, would like to try it first

The secret with Camrosa is to use it correctly. At first you may be worried that things look worse but persevere and the results are fab.

I have to say though that the only thing that I am disappointed with is that since I stopped using it on Ellie's back the hair has started to come out again

Looks like you need to use it all the time on large problems anyway.

But other than that I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I would recommend the company Smith & Nephew, they do scar management treatment, it is for humans but works extremely well on horses. It is very gentle and can do no harm, I personally would not use Camrosa on an old scar. The reason for this is that scar tissue is much thiner and Camrosa is an agent that penetrates to actively work on the area, I feel it may be too harsh for the job. Unless you know what the old wound entailed and treated it yourself I would go carefully as you would not know the extent of the tissue damage.
