I just saw a caravan being towed by this car on the motorway and got me thinking if my car could tow a horse and trailer? Might be a stupid question but looking to upgrade the car and hoping I don't need to

The max towing capacity is 1300 kgs for all models so for horse trailer towing it would need a lightweight trailer to take a 500 kg horse and here are three examples -
BATESON LIGHT HORSE TRAILER
CHEVAL LIGHT HORSE TRAILER
IFOR LIGHT HORSE TRAILER
The heaviest unladen weight of those 3 is 770 kgs so it will just take a 500 kg horse (770+500=1270)
For B licence towing, depending which combination of car and trailer is used, the trailer will need to be downplated by the manufacturer (little or no cost) to either 1300 or 1400 MAM but in either case the figure of 1300 will need to be used as that is the max towing capacity of the vehicle
