my horse act like a hooligan when he is 'in the wild' (turned out:rolleyes:) and often knocks himself, so looking into some turnout boots.
I have turnout out in boots before with other horses for various reasons and often they rub them when on long term, so looking for something lightweight and breathable but obviously protects against flailing feet. :)

I quite like these http://www.4dobbin.com/p-Turnout-Boots-Premier-Equine.html if anybody has used them?!

and had to link to these purely because I cant believe they couldnt find a horse with nice feet to show them off?!! http://www.zoarsaddlery.co.uk/-M25208

I think the equilibrium ones might be the way forward, the problem with the turnout boots for mud fever is they are not breathable (otherwise they wouldnt be much use for protecting against mud fever!) so therefore would cook his legs when weraing them all day in the fiel din summer.
I have some equilibrium stretch and flex boots that I have had for years and they rarely work up to a sweat underneath those when working and have lasted really well.....
