PRIDDY
30-10-07 - Sylvia has very kindly allowed me to put Priddy on the site in the hope someone can offer her a home. If you can help please get in touch. Thanks Cerian.

Priddy is a 16.2hh thoroughbred who my friend bought from the gypsies at Priddy sheep fair 5 years ago. She looked so confused stood there with a bad cut in her leg, with people wandering past. When they saw she only had one eye they stared and poked fun at her and my friend felt so sorry for her that she bought her. Now she has lost her grazing and can no longer afford to keep her. We were hoping that someone out there would like her for a companion horse. She is a good doer and can live out all winter with just hay to eat. She isn't rideable. There is no charge for Priddy but a donation to Many Tears would be appreciated. If you would like some more information on her please could you email me on cerian100@btinternet.com.

If you could pass this on to anyone who might be able to help.
Thanks

Oh god - would have taken her like a shot as my fabulous Section D, Sunny, has only one as the result of negligence by his previous owners...a riding school! He is still a lovely, safe hack and we just came first in our first ever walk/trot dressage test and he will happily pop anything you put in front of him as long as it's not over 2 foot! BUT, I have just taken on a 2nd horse, a rescue mare with a truly horrendous background. She has advanced ragwort poisoning and her liver is almost at critical point. She takes a huge amount of care and time and requires a highly specialised diet and cannot be turned out in the sunshine in the summer. So I just can't take on another one at the moment. So very sorry. I really hope that someone has the space and compassion to give this girl a home. For reassurance, with a little thoughtfulness, one eye makes no difference to a horse! x

If push comes to shove and time becomes a problem I can take her until a loving, permanent home is found, it wont be a problem. However I couldn't offer a permanent home just now as I took in a rescue TB not long ago who has a fair way to go himself yet. Along with the rescue pony, rescue shetland and my 37 year old, I just couldn't afford to keep another long term....

However....like I say, if time becomes a problem I do have credit cards and savings and will gladly take her on until a suitable home is found.

PM me if you want my number just incase.
