what happens if you receive ponies, or someone just passes care over to you and they are not passported

I have worked for an equine charity and we got loads of equines being given to us with no passports. It was not a problem, though obviously we passported them once they were processed! Does not mean it was not illegal for them not to have a passport though. Also at places like Appleby fair there are passport orgs there that just give out passports on the day

Well if the horse doesnt have a passport and they are not willing to get him one without increasing his asking price I shall be walking away and buying one that is passported, jabbed and microchipped then...jeez...might buy a rocking horse instead...probably cheaper
