Can anyone help...2 very lame horses

I keep my horses at home and at the mo they are out but have a shelter if they need it. All were fine last night when we checked them. This morning I have been to check them and bring them in for a while only to discover that my little mare can not stand on her off fore, it is a little swollen so I have put the ice pack and bandage on for now, and has also a fat off hind which is very sore too. My other mare has two fat back legs and a fat front leg and also is very lame. Both horses were shaking too. My old mare was absolutely fine as were the two youngsters.
I have checked the legs for injuries and can only find a couple of little scabs and I mean little, the little mare could not have her feet picked out and the other one struggled.
I have obviously brought them in and rugged them up but have just moved so have no internet at home and have had to come down to my husbands work place to research further.
Can anyone help?? I have rung the vet and I am waiting for them to return my call. Eating as normal.

Whatever the cause if you have a horse that wont bear weight you need the vet. I wonder if they have had a good old kicking match....whether with themselves or possibly a loose dog. I wouldnt wait tbh.
