Can anyone help? Found Springer Spaniel

Found in Hampshire, between Alton and Petersfield.

Springer Spaniel, Liver and White, Male, older dog with no collar, will be checked for chip in the morning.

This little chap was dodging traffic on a national speed limit road, he is very thin and dirty, suggesting he may have been loose for some time.

I have checked both the petlog missing register and doglost and will speak to the local dog warden as soon as I have checked for a chip in the morning.

If anyone knows of a family who may be missing this chap, please let me know

Well done for getting hold of him and making sure he is safe

It sounds like you are doing everything you can to contact the owners - when I pick up stray dogs round here - usually gundogs - I call the local vets as well because they will check for chips for you and sometimes the owners have called them anyway - I retunr a lot like that before the dog warden even gets called as they gundogs they have often jumped out of the car/buggered off after a bunny etc etc...

I hope you find his owners

I am sure there will be others along in a bit with some better ideas of who to contact

Good News, the owner contacted me having seen the details on one of the many message boards I used.

'Jack' has now been reunited with his owner

These guys are your local out of hours vets, they will happily scan him tonight for you which might save a worried and hopefully very anxious owner who has lost him. Just give them a ring, they won't charge you to scan him.
