Hi, I posted the other day asking for help with moving a small flock of sheep - I have two options..road or field. Both have obvious problems & I can't do it on my own..had two kind helpers lined up for saturday who are both now unable to help. My two lead sheep are already at the yard & the other 5 waiting on the 20 acre field for me to get someone to help..even if its simply standing there & slowly walking forward to keep them moving the right way/closing gates. the lane is too fast /narrow to attempt alone & there are three directions they can go at the top unless I have a shaperone (note the bit that say TOP - I'll have no legs left to run in three directions!) They are very good usually -tried last weekend but couldn't with only me hence the split flock. My usual helpers are otherwise disposed for a few weeks & I just want to get them shorn -had to treat one this morning for strike so I'm anxious to get the old ladies back asap.

Please, please can anyone give me a hand. I doubt it would take more than half an hour tho once they are moving its easy. All helpers will be fed with cakey sugary yummy things...anyone??

I'm so sorry about Saturday...
But, without leaving you high and dry, could possibly help tomorrow pm... i may be with kids, or could 'leave' them behind - possibly!! I can't stay for too long, but hopefully long enough to get the baa baa's in the right place??!

Ah thank you..that would be brilliant..if kids are taller than sheep/grass then they might actually be able to help..we'd simply go the field way not the road and its private land..or they could stay with goats to be safe or in yard if they aren't old enough...ewes are very gentle..
where are you based

Somerset.Near the bath & west showground:)
