Can anyone help us find Poppy?

I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me some guidance of locating a missing horse on loan.

My sister put her mare 'Poppy' on loan about 3 years (when she went to Uni) and about 6 months, the woman who was loaning her seems to have disappeared. We've tried emailing her with no response and the contact number we have in no longer in use. We've been up to the yard where she was stabled and she's been moved without anyone telling us and the yard owner doesn't know where she's gone.

Can anyone offer any advice as the what would be the best thing to do next? I'm hoping it's just a case of mis-communication and that everything is ok?

Thank you!

Have you checked with the issuing office of your passport to see if anyone has re registered her? Also either micro chip or Farmkey depending on which you might have? Obviously put posters up in the area in tack shops and feed stores with her picture on just saying 'have you seen this horse' rather than it is stolen. This might put the person who has her off if they think she is stolen. It might be an idea to ring vets in the area too. I hope you get some good news.

Have you tried contacting Missing Horses on Loan? They have a website under that name I think. They are very knowleagable and helpful, and they sometimes highlight info about horses on this forum.
