Hi,

I'm looking for an all in one/complete chaff based feed to help me simplify my horses feeding and am struggling to find one..

I've seen healthy hooves by dengie but it contains garlic which he won't eat and I've seen happy hoof (not sure who its by) but have heard mixed reports about this.

Can anyone suggest one please?

If you are being calorie conscious the two I have used and would recommend are:

Dodson and Horrell - Safe and Sound (chaff based)

Allen and Page - Fast fibre (fibre pellets)

As far as i understand both are complete feeds and fully balanced, although ff is not chaff based it is mainly fibre and my horses love it.

My horse is on Pure Feeds, absolutely love it. He's a pain to feed ex-racer who used to need Haylage Balancer & Magic as well but now just has Pure Working, 1 scoop, done!

They have a few different ones depending on your requirements. My boy looks great & is really calm and focused. Another horse on the yard is also on it & the change in him has been amazing! So much calmer and just seems chilled.

Might be worth a look at their website.
 
Another one who gives a big thumbs up for pure horse feed, just started my boy on it, 2 weeks on he is looking much better, he is on the conditioning one, till he has git more top line then I will be dropping him down to the working one
