As above really - i do try and read the Mary Wanless ride with your mind - but find it a little hard going. I have read a couple of motivational books that are so wishy washy that you feel like being ill and i have read some books that are all in to sports physicology but at too great a level - i do use some of the imagery techniques but feel a little daft "imagining i am soring, soring on the mystical beasts back".

I have quite a collection of books but could really do with trying a dvd out, but dont want to waste a load of money on things.

Anyone any ideas?

Not a DVD but Heather Moffatt Enlightened Equitation is a fab book.

I find a lesson with a good teacher far better as it applies to you and your horse where as book can be a tad general. Have you any Natural horse instructors by you?

SJ-Superstars I am looking at a couple of areas i suppose - Jumping and dressage, also a confidence aspect would be useful - Mr Schoolmaster can give me a few knots in my stomach when we go hacking.

Beatrice 5 - never thought of a Natural horse instructor - what type of thing would they teach you to do?

Not equestrian, but a friend of mine swore by a Paul McKenna confidence one - sorry not got title - she changed jobs to one where she had to talk to customers on the phone, she HATED phone work but is OK now and still in the job and loving the money!
