Query really as above - my mare is barefoot and trimmed by a good farrier who has also done barefoot training, but he is only trimming her until the summer and then moving on .I've been offered the yard farrier but would rather have someone with more experience of barefoot, so any recommendations are gratefully received!!

Thanks

JR

A farrier will have more experience than a barefoot trimmer.
Farriers have to do a 4 1/2 year apprenticeship before qualifying unlike a barefoot trimmer who needs no qualifications at all (however most have gone on a little course about it)
I think that tells you who will have the most experience.
But if you are not happy with the yard farrier if you go to the farrier registration council wed site and use there find a farrier app.

Thanks for that - I just need someone with plenty of experience of barefoot trimming and I'd rather have someone recommended if at all possible !!

Yes, Adi Pratt she has her own website, have seen massive improvements in swapping (and my previous farrier was one of the olympic farriers) even my vet has commented that both of my horses feet are finally looking proper! Def recomend

Thanks very much for that , I'll get in touch with her as soon as my current guy leaves .I did google before for for some reason she didn't come up ...
