Kane the Rottie loves playing football by himself (supervised) in the paddock. He is currently using a horse jolly ball...the handle was shaken off in about 3 weeks, but it has since survived another 18 months of rough daily play, being pounced on, shaken, bitten, carried about, dribbled around the field etc.

The hole where the handle was is now v large as he shreds bits off it & I think the whole thing isn't going to last much longer. He loves that ball, and I've been looking for something more durable to replace it, but can't find anything.

He ignores Adrian's hard plastic snack-a-ball...no fun as he can't pick it up. I can't find any dog footballs or any other sort of large ball that looks as if it would stand up to a lot of abuse but which can still be picked up.

Any ideas, or shall I just buy another jolly ball?

Would he shred up an ordinary football? If you let a bit of air out of them they can get a grip on them to pick them up. Alternatively, in Sports World today I saw novelty giant tennis balls about the size of a basketball. :D

Haven't tried a normal football. He does have quite a lot of bite strength & plays very rough, so not sure if he'd burst it. I'm surprised that the jolly ball has hung on this long, tbh, as it wasn't designed for Rotties.
