I am in the market for a 100 - 150g turnout, standard neck (or detachable neck cover).

Needs to be either fully adjustable at the front, or generous in size. Compleatly waterproof and doesnt break the bank. Ideally under £50.

I find amigo's too tight what with being unable to adjust the front, that my shires isnt waterproof in anything more than heavy drizzle and mark todd ones tear easily.

Can anyone recommend?

You can buy the premier equine trio outer on its own, it's more than £50 but a generous fit and virtually indestructible

I have a derby house one that I picked up really cheap and was really surprised that I really like it! It's a nice fit on my mw mare and it hasn't leaked or ripped.

I posted a very similar thread not long ago - I ended up getting a Fal 40g Bulldog (which isn't as lightweight as you'd think it would be, it's more like a 100g). Brand new on eBay it didn't cost much more than your budget, fab rug, really deep and fits my broad chested lad well :)

I have both Rheingold and Shires 100g rugs, both are great for my fatties but the Shires ones don't have shoulder gussets.

I've got a Ruggles 100g which is 1200d, I think it was £43. Really pleased with it, plenty of room at the front (my boy is not wide chested but has a deep and long shoulder and high wither, fits him well (Mark Todds or JHL are both good fit on him if that helps).
The detachable neck cover is OK, plenty of overlap where it joins the rug but doesn't quite come up to his ears. It is generous in depth but he has a narrow neck so the next size up would drown him I think :)

I second the Premier Equine ... I was dubious about them for a while, mainly due to cost but was glad I "took the plunge" ... worth every penny.

They have a sale on at the moment too if that helps ;)

Shadowflame - somehow I've ended up buying the ebay bargain Fal rug!!!:rolleyes: It's all your fault!!!:p:p:D:D:D

Oops!!! :D In fairness though, I've been really impressed with it - it's one of the very few rugs that doesn't strangle my broad boy. Plus it's a rather sexy colour on him ;)
