I have a Kieffer gp for my mare that I would preferably like altered now she is post-foal rather than buying a new one - does anyone know of a good person that would travel to east kent? Any ideas welcome, anyone to avoid, please PM me!

As Kieffer saddles have trees in that can be altered your best bet is to contact Kieffer direct to ask them who the closest fitter is. Their email is: info@kieffer.co.uk

I am in East Sussex and they recommended these guys, but in the end I didn't go down that route. West Kent Saddles 07889 275 988

If you decide just to have a saddle come to stuff it to fit, please avoid anyone with the initials AM (pm for full name if you like).

Hi Thankyou for that - yes it has a polymer tree so it would have to be saddle fitter with a heat bench to be able to adjust it. I didn't realise that Kieffer had fitters d'oh! :o Just done a few searches and Michael Uden, Colin Shilling and Peter Husband were all names that came up. I have also had a recommendation for someone called Russel - don't know his second name. Any votes on any of these people?!

Would definately recommend Peter Husband, although I doubt he has a heat bench as I know we had a convo re one of my saddles and its polymer tree....but he's still great!

I've had Michael Uden over once - he did a good job for me. If you search on here you'll see what others have said about any of them, I seem to recognise the names?

Hi, I can recommend Karen Jones of Chaskits at Langton Green, Tunbridge Wells. I have used her for my quarter horse who is downhill. She has travelled to both East Sussex and Kent depending on where my horse was at the time. I will use her again in the spring when he's next due for a fitting.
