I'm looking for some long winter riding boots- preferably with some kind of warm lining and waterproof to some degree.

I love the Dublin River boots type but am a bit put off by the practicality of the suede bit. I initially liked the Mountain Horse Rimfrost ones but, after reading up on them, have been a bit put off by their potential to be uncomfortable. How are the Toggi Calgary ones? Any more suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I love my Ariat Grasmeres warm, waterproof and comfy. Downside is that the laces make them not a quick option to put on and off so if you need to change in and out frequently then they would be a bit of a pain. Also I always use a boot horn so that I don't pull the lining down when putting them on.

Mountain horse do good winter boots. I have their rimfrost rider (I think that's what they are called) short boots- brilliant. Only things that keep my feet warm in the winter when riding. I think they do a tall pair too.

Definitely Ariat Grasmeres. I never undo the laces on mine, only the velcro at the top! They are SO cosy, and mine are on their third winter and still going strong. The black Woofwear ones are also very warm, but I was going through a pair of those every winter before I bought the Ariats.

My HKM's are fab and sooo warm! They are also a heck of a lot cheaper than the likes of Ariat etc. The only thing is the sole has started to come away slightly from the leather on top on one boot, but then I have worn them a lot and it's nothing a bit of glue can't fix!

Muck Boots Artic Adventure. Do them in loads of colours, 100% waterproof and very snug. Can pick them up for £75. Fab, don't even need thick socks with them so just buy your normal size. They seal to you leg too (top part is sort of a wetsuit material) so no rain or cold air gets in when you're riding either :)
