I am looking to buy a puppy or young dog in hertfordshire, cant go to a re homing ctre as we current live in a flat (although will hopefully be moving by the end of the year)
Im not tooking for a pedigree just something small to medium sized that will be good with cats and young children (have 2 cats and a 20 month old son)
TIA

Maybe best to wait until you move, you won't be able to dive outside with a pup who needs a wee NOW very easily with a small child in tow. Much easier if you can just open the door.

Battersea rehome in Herts (I have just taken a young Staffie X on) and often have young dogs in. They also foster so if you can get one that has been fostered at least they will have some idea of housetraining etc. They will rehome to flats as long as there is the opportunity for plenty of outside time.

If a rehoming centre wouldn't rehome a dog with you because living in a flat with 2 cats and 20 month old child would not be deemed a suitable home then that tells you something! Why the rush? Have you not got enough on your hands? Soooo much easier to be able to just open the door and let the dog out. And in this weather it would be a nightmare.

If you really care about dogs wait until you move and go and get one of the thousands of 'spare' dogs. There are rehoming centres all over herts depending on which part you live in.

I hvent been to any rehoming centres but was told they wouldn't let me rehome in a flat.
I am ground floor and hve a patio door but not a secure garden!
There is absolutley no rush to get a dog it is just something I would like to do, i really dont think you should suggest that I am ucaring towards my animals!
