Can anyone tell me more about Splashed white overo or sabino overo please?

I have been told Blue may have traces of one of these genes - what do you think please?

Can you tell me a bit about it as well please?

Sabino.

Splashes have smooth, non-merging edges generally, where as Sabinos have jagged edges which can be roan-y.

As Faracat says, your boy displays absolutely typical sabino markings.

This mare is a Sabino Frame Overo, you can see she has the white face, roany patches (one on her girth line) and high jagged white leg markings of the sabino patterning.

The colt is registerable as a solid Paint, his leg markings (jagged blaze and white spots on his chin and jaw) show he has sabino.

Thank you for the pics and your answer! nothing on his passport had him since he was 5, over 20 now

He must be from somewhere in England so perhaps may make a few enquiries with studs tho probs wont get much luck xx
