Can anyone tell me the difference between

..... A splint boot and brushing boots. They look the same. I have just been looking at all the different types of boots on a website of my local tack shop, and tbh they are all the same, but just called something different. I really could not see any difference between the splint & brushing boot, what a rip off really... Rant over.

I think as a general rule splint boots go slightly further up the leg and are usually the hard plastic strike pads, from what iv seen!
They both pretty much do the same job though!

I think splint boots tend to be the american name. No rip off really! You don't need to own one of every name of boot!
