Can anyone tell me who rode for Team GB at the Atlanta Olympics?

i think i can remember, more or less... the thing is, i was idly looking at a stallion's webpage today and it claims on there that one of his 'wives', a mare who i've never heard of, was ridden at the Atlanta games on the British Team.
of course, it's so long ago i can't find it on the BE website...
i think it's the year that Leslie Law's horse went lame, so Chris Hunnable was called up as travelling reserve. So iirc it was Ginny, Ian, Karen Dixon, and Chris, because i think back then it was 4 ran and 3 counted.
not sure though, memory failing, so any help appreciated, just want to know really, not for any other reason!

You are correct about Leslie Law's horse, New Flavour, going lame. Chris Hunnable and mr Bootsie replaced him and ran in individual competition.

Only know this cause just been reading it in Mary King's book which I'm reading atm!

I seem to remember Scotty on Stanwick Ghost and WFP on ?Cosmopolitan? KD was probably on Get Smart; not sure about Gary Parsonage as wouldn't have remembered that, I half thought Mary King as I thought she was pregnant, but actually saw an article the other day that said it was the European Champs where she was 5 months pregnant.

Anyway, all were geldings I'm sure, save for whatever GP was riding. Was it definitely an eventer?

I may be wrong but I have a feeling that The Cool Customer broke down close to home on the xc in Atlanta? I have a vague memory of watching it on tv.

yes... before the last fence, i remember it clearly, i didn't realise it was in Atlanta though. slight shades of Amy Tryon, but he didn't look as bad as poor Samurai...

It was also the worst performing Olympics ever and the government actually decided to pump money into sport.

The eventing team had a bad time everyone resigned or was sacked (medical, chef d'equipe, selectors etc) after it as lots of blame going round and round. Especially about Murphy as they felt better medical treatment and he would have survived the trot up.
