Can clover cause breeding difficulties?

I have heard that a clover rich pasture can cause conception difficulties and abortion (may be due to high oestrogen or nitrogen/nitrates???). Is there any truth in this? If so, are there any supplements/hormone injections to counteract it as I have two broodmares and all my land has a high clover yield which is great for keeping condition on them but I am scared it will hamper conception. Do I need to be worried?

Feeding salt can help reduce high potassium levels which are associated with clover and linked health issues.
