I was just wondering if dogs can suffer colds as we do? One minute my dog is boiling and the next he's freezing and shivering! He's ok in himself still eating/walking but just seems a little more sleepy and quiter than usual any advise would be good!

Interesting post since I had a dog staying with us who I noticed had a slightly runny nose and coughed when on the lead....owner, when questioned a couple of weeks ago, said dog was fine.......now a couple of our dogs have had "sticky" eyes, and OH's two poodles have gone on to develop a cough/wheeze. Is there a dog equivalent of the Common Cold?

Dogs can get kennel cough of course and flu, and get can get viruses same as many other animals & people. If you're worried, go to the vet! :)

Yes they certainly can, a cold has just passed through all of mine....runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes!! A few duvet days indoors in the warm, some manuka honey and they're all bounding around again.....now the cats have it!!!
