Reason i ask is i've had a dose of the runs for the past 5 days. No nausea or vomiting, just bad cramps, a slightly raised temp and a vastly increased loo roll bill :o

This afternoon Mickey has started with diarrhoea. Now he does suffer from a delicate tummy sometimes, usually cos he's found something disgusting and eaten it, and his symptoms then are a grumbly tummy, loss of appetite and then a day or so later a gross poo.

He hasnt lost his appetite (ate his usual breakfast with gusto) tho i am going to starve him for 24 hours now and he's still full of energy, he's just asking to go outside more frequently and the poo's look like normal poo colour but very runny, almost liqued. He's drinking his normal amount and his tummy isnt making any grumbling sounds

Could he have caught whatever bug i have? He doesnt eat off my plate, nor i his ;) or is it just coincidence? (Obviously if his continues i'll take him to the vet )

Well it can certainly happen in reverse. I had a new pup when my son was about a year old, within a few days of getting her she started with the squits, at first I put it down to change of environment but when she didn't improve took her to vets. About the same time my son started with the same. To cut it short, turns out they both had campylobacter, a form of food poisoning, which she had probably got from some dodgy meat and my son then caught from her.:o
Starving him sounds sensible, if neither of you improve might be worth just getting some tests run in case you need anti biotics to sort it out. Hope you both soon feel better.
