Can fibre feeds be over 2kg?

For example if I wanted to feed 3kg of Alfa-a, surely I can just feed it all in one go, rather than just splitting the feeds out?

I know it's best to split feeds, but I don't always have time to do this...

I feed my pony 4-5kg of chop at night as she has it as a hay replacer. It is just the same as feeding hay or them grazing on grass, so yes you can feed all in one go.

Would you say this applies to something such as the Alfa-a with a balancer in to make up a "full" feeds... Or what about something like pure feeds that is mostly fibre, with a couple of additives?

Its my understanding that you can't feed any feeds with concentrates added that are heavier than 4lbs in weight at the horse cannot digest these in the hind gut efficiently. Therefore although it won't hurt the horse its a waste of money.

I think you can feed unlimited amounts of chaff.

Horses that can't eat hay get big tubs of fibre instead.
