I'm just wondering as I've never seen one - they always look skinny with ribs on show (I know this is right for them) but I wondered what happens if you do overfeed/get a greedy one? Is it just not possible for them to ever get podgy?

Yes, I know of a rather rotund Italian Greyhound. He is a largish dog for his breed but he is too well covered for my liking.

Yes, there is a chap in the village with a pair of fawn whippets that are actually rotund. Very frequently in the summer I see him sitting in the town square holding a Mr Whippy style ice cream cone in each hand, a whippet delicately perched on either side eating their individual ice creams.

Yes I have seen a good few fattys, more greyhounds than whips but thats probably just because I see more greys in general. They TEND to be older dogs, but considering their mammoth appetites its surprising how slim most greys are :D They are serious gannets!

we couldnt fatten up our whippet, no matter how much we fed him, he just pood a lot more!

Ditto this, my greyhound eats pretty loads and still looks skinny  He looked even worse when he was ill earlier this year :( He seems to have an ideal weight and stays there!

Yes, my ex's mum and dad had one that was way overweight! I tried to tell them both about her weight and diet (cornflakes & milk for breakfast, then Bakers as her main feed in the evening!)

You can indeed, I have seen some right barrels of greyhounds and whippets, my little whippet never gains weight but my whippey x grey boy has to be watched closely as he is prone to gaining.
Ostriches greys on here as fat as hell:rolleyes::p
