execma (spelt totally wrong i do apologies...)

I thought it was ringworm, but she has 2 patchs on her rear, and 1 or 2 on tummy, but its not round, not weeping, no sore, just looks like dry skin, however to top two patches appear to have cleared now and its just a bit bald???

Apparently they can :) http://www.equinemedsurg.com/searticle.html

Perhaps if you could put up a couple of photos so that we can see what the patches look like, someone may have dealt with something that seems similar.

A couple of questions though, has your horse been scratching a lot? If he isn't shedding very quickly and the weather is warm he may just have rubbed bald patches. Has he been on alfalfa at all? That can make a horse itchy and they'll rub bald patches then too, particularly on the necks and rear end. There have been recent threads about that.

She is fed alfa a chaff, and pony nuts.

She has a couple of circular shapes, and on patch on her bum that is almost like a ballon...i.e. a thin straight line (bald) and then a wobbly circle on the end of it.

Could it be where the cover has rubbed out the winter hair - clips, pressure points can do this.

If you are worried bath her using Nizerol as this will kil any fungal infections. You can buy it at the chemist. Dilute in hand hot water and lather up well.
