can horses go on a field that has just been muckspread?

our yard owner wants to muck spread on our field he says he is going to do half tomorrow and the other half in 5 days.not very impressed as we will be coming in for winter soon anyway and there hardly any grass as it is and the field is quite small.why couldnt he just wait a couple more weeks bloody men!!!!can horses go out on a field that just been done and how long til its soaked in and the horses can eat the grass again?

As above, No just from a Yuk that would be disgusting point of view but also it needs to be washed in with some rain so that there is none left on the top. This is a DEFRA thing too as a farmer got pulled up for muck spreading heavily in same field where cattle where eating.
 
No it isn't really recommended, and could in fact be against DEFRA regs.
It's best to spread before rain and allow the muck to be washed in, I wonder how he would feel if you covered his meals in poo....
It would take a jolly good soaking a few times to make it edible again I would imagine.
