i know that anger management can be in people and they get angry easily ect, but can horses get it? this is just a random question that just popped into my head and i thought that you guys might know :p

Some are quicker tempered than others, when it comes to letting others know they aren't happy with whatever is going on. But irrational anger of the type that would get a person sent on an anger management course, no. Irrational anger wouldn't serve any evolutionary purpose, because its a waste of energy. In the wild I doubt a horse would last long enough to reproduce if it was irrationally angry on a regular basis. And while there are plenty of performance horses bred for ability over temperament, breeding something with a truly vile temperament would make life too hard. So yes, imo do express real anger, but its always got a reason behind it.

I think 'short fuze and intolerant' sums up my mare, as Littlelegs said above there's generally a reason for her reaction - it might not be rational to me, but it is to her. :)
