Can horses still grow quite alot at 4yrs?

She could well carry on for some time now, but it don't be much more substantial as it slows down after that initial growing stage, she could make 16.1 in the next couple of years though
 
She could grow quite a bit more yet, mine didnt finish until she was about 7

My 4 yr old went from 15.1HH to 16.2HH at maturity, so yes, I'd expect more growth.

Is that good? Do you want her bigger?
 
She is beautiful as she is and not really bothered if she didn't grow anymore or if she makes 16.2! I love her anyway and as I am only 5'3 it doesn't matter.

My horse was a little croup high as a 4 yr old, but that seems to have rectified itself.
He hasn't grown in height, but he has gone from 5'9" rugs to 6'6"...and he's not overly fat......(he's now 12)
 
I had a TB mare who didn't stop growing until 7 and I have a DWB who is still growing now and he is 6. He was 16.1 a year ago and now 16.3. I keep asking him to stop there, thats big enough!

Incidently, both if these horses were in really poor condition when I got them.
 
Oh goodness, this is interesting, and slightly worrying.
The cob in my sig was sold to me seven weeks ago as 14.1hh, 4yo and quite underweight. He's now quite a lot chunkier and reaching 15hh. I hope he doesn't get too much bigger!! lol!
 
My Dutch warmblood was a weedy 15.3 at aged 5, but by the time he was 7, he had grown to a strapping 16.1, and is now closer to 16.2, rising 8. I think he's finally stopped growing! I hope.

Jees thats some growth spurt in only 7 weeks! My boy was 14.3 in a 5'9" rug at 4 heis now 15.1h and twice the size in build he looked like a tb when i got him and now looks like a proper cob. So although heightwise only a couple of inches in build he has and is still grown massively
