We bought a horse in September with the idea of my other half eventing him this season. Sadly, he doesn't get on with the horse as the horse has too much talent for him and he feels a little overhorsed so with have decided to put my mare and his horse up for sale with the idea of selling one and me keeping the ride on the other one.

The horse in question is as follows:
He is a seriously talented horse with all the scope in the world for BE,BD, BSJA
17.1hh 6 yrs old bay gelding.
Branded BWB By Denver( bloodlines include Ladykiller and Nimmerdor).
Stunning paces- finds all lateral work VERY easy and flying changes. He is very uphill and has the ability to 'sit' so hopefully has the potential to piaffe/passage in the future.
Huge, careful jump- has not touched a single pole since September and never stops. Jumped double clear Foxhunter BSJA, done 1 Pre novice at the end of last season and went double clear.
Easy, straightforward ride, snaffle mouthed at all times.
Good to hack, alone and in company- all traffic.
Great to box, clip, catch ect and no vices.
If I keep him my plan to to take him up the BD levels but he is equally suitable as an event horse and would easily go intermediate and beyond!
This is him:

Excuse nervous other halfs postion- the horse is going much better now- softer, more forward with a longer neck btw.

My my, what a nice horse you have there!!

People might think I am over-pricing this but, I'd expect no less than £10k purely on potential. Looks like he has good self-carraige and very scopey jump.

Got a similar horse on my yard, selling for around £25k - young potential event, fab paces, jumped Fox. Only difference is it has £ on it, points etc. so proof of talent. But I have no doubt yours is very talented and could rack up some decent £ BSJA and points BD and BE

Personally I would say less than £10k but probably because I dont pay for "potential" unless it actually shows a consistent record etc. and because yours has jumped "double clear foxhunter" which I assume means he's only jumped 1 at that level or not been clear the other times? And does he have BSJA winnings? If so, how much? He hasn't done much XC then if he's done 1 PN? Based on these things Id say £6k-£7k.

He does look very nice though, Im sure you probably *could* get over £10k in the market nowadays just based on his attractiveness! I think I under-price horses, mine is doing fox and novice BE and I cant believe it when people think hes worth over £10k, that just scares me!

OOh i like

very nice...the market these day's i'd prob agree with what everyones said, so £10kish. When I had my mare up for sale, as being a very good flashy allrounder I had buyers for £9k and she's 10yrs old!!!
