Can I borrow the GSD mafia please?

It's not often I regret my choice of dogs but tonight we had an attempted burglary of the farm workshop and my darling dogs were utterly useless - Susie barked loads on command but refused to venture further than the barn and Oscar and Dash both legged it off into the darkness and started hunting rabbits leaving me on my own trying to sound like I had armed backup  :(

So to any lovely GSDs who fancy a holiday in Oxfordshire I have a state of the art (well a state anyway) kennel in the barn which they can have free run of at night as long as they promise not to savage the cattle but burglar savaging is Sport of the Week :D Any takers?

He's only really scary when you ask him to wash, when he wants to dry :D

Or you could borrow his bro, who is well scary

Or what about his sis, who makes a noise just like a burglar alarm?

If I have to choose I'll go with the sis please - the noisier the better - but all are welcome :D Can you pop them in the post tomorrow for me?

I love that last pic but can only imagine the noise she is creating

ETA: wish me luck, I'm off for another check round the buildings now.......if I'm not online tomorrow you may assume I've been clobbered by a scrote

ROFL, loving the pics CC :D

Good luck sweeping the buildings Brownmare! Me 'n Loki do one every night inside and outside. Which generally involves me standing about, occasionally opening doors or pointing at shadowy areas around the building that the torch doesn't reach, and telling Loki to 'go see!'. Oddly he's not be taught to sweep rooms but seems to get the idea anyway, same with our dogs when we lived in pubs

If you have particularly malignant scrotes hanging about you can have Loki for a while if you want? We usually get a couple of months between attempted break ins so he's free right now, and I bet he would love a barn and doggy mates to play with. :D It would do him all sorts of good to live somewhere normal :p:)

We have the lovely Bex on our website, he would like a nice barn run/outdoor kennel and he is mahussiveeeeeeee, and looks scarey as hell, and guards very well.

Kitsune - I've already got one! She's very brave but only when either me or a bigger dog is there to be her bodyguard

Cayla - Bex looks way too friendly to be intimidating :D Does he cuddle the burglars to subdue them

Pix - Loki sounds like the perfect guard dog apart from obviously being inconsiderate enough to bark loudly when you are sleeping lol. If he fancies a holiday down here I'd love to have him :)

I'm hoping actually that the scrotes got enough of a suprise last night to put them off coming back. They must have thought they had the place to themselves because none of the lights at the front were on and then one of the liveries rolled up, called us and suddenly there were 2 people and 4 dogs running round looking for them and making masses of noise (albeit in a rather useless way lol). Fingers crossed.......

I had a scary night the other evening, and sent my dogs into the garden. The best thing I found was to wind them up prior to the back door being opened - when it finally did the little one was screaming! Any burglar would have thought the hounds of hell were about to set upon him! No such luck - a twig banging against roof!

Henry's patented Flying Leaps of Friendship (tm) tend to hit home just at groin height, so while he would be a useless intentional bodyguard I think he'd be quite an effective accidental one:p
