My sister and I were tacking up a horse to ride and photograph at 14:30 Sunday in the arena. The horse was only yards from my car, and my tack was in the car so I was unloading it to put on the horse (my horse, but not my yard).
While both of our backs were turned someone stole my car!!! It had lots of other tack in it, some big cordless clippers, all my keys, credit cards, handbag, clothes, trainers, riding boots, basically everything I use day to day for my work and my horses.

We were on a farm, nowhere near the road. The thief was obviously watching us until he got a chance.

The car is a red Audi A3 R957VLX.

If anyone gets offered any Heinegar (sp) cordless clippers, bridles, boots etc from a less than trustworthy source, please contact me. Or obviously if you spot my car! I am so upset at losing my belongings from right under my nose. The car can be replaced, all my show tack, and bits and bobs can't.

I'm really sorry to hear that. Should have their bloody hands cut off. I tell you, if I was running the country things would be a lot different....................

The police are on the case, but how much they actually do to find cars, I don't know. My tack is not insured in itself, but **IF** my insurance pays out, the contents of my car will be covered.

insured or not, you must be livid, I love my tack and replacing it is not simple. I doubt we'd get much this way but alert local sales as anything that quality going through should be spottable, check ebay too, and admag and the local paper.

If it's any consolation, my neighbor had his car stolen from his driveway (keys were in ignition, engine running to warm up and de-ice)
But the police found it a week or so later.
Then the same thing happened two years later (DHUH) but the car was recovered Again a month later!
I mean, how lucky is that?
So don't give up hope on the police

Just posting to say I had my car stolen (they broke into the house and stole my keys) and it was found by the police a week later. They took my very expensive sunglasses but nothing else and left a load of expensive tools and another car radio in it which the police let me keep.

That gives me some hope. If they don't know what my horsey things are, maybe they will just ignore them.

I am trying not to get my hopes up too much at it being found as I know the chances are slim.
