I have an ID x TB filly who I wanted to register as an Irish Sport Horse.
I thought I had to do this through the Irish Draught Society - Wrong! They are two different bodies I have since found out. I received my Passport which is just an Irish Draught one.
Is it tough buns now or can I change the Draught Passport for a Sports Horse one? If so who do I contact?
Have looked online and cant see the wood through the trees so I am throwing myself at your mercy!
Yours

Brain-Fried.... lol

OK, the Irish Draught Horse society has its main register, for full IDs, yours is a cross bred so if its on this one its a mistake (but I cant see that), a Sport horse register for part breds, which yours should be on, and a purely identification register for anything needing a passport.

What colour cover does your passport have and what does it say on it?

As to your question, yes there is an irish sport horse register, but you are already on a different sport horse register so no, you cant legally get a completely different one now as far as I know.

What you can do, if you want to, is send it off to be overstamped by other PIO

The passport I have is a see through plastic cover with a white front page.
Its title is `Irish Draught Horse Society (GB) Passport`.
It has her pedigree but states in section 2 under breed that she is Irish Draught.
I spoke to Annie Holbeche about that and she said it was something that the computer did automatically.
I dont quite get the concept of overstamping to be honest. This is the first home bred horse and I so wanted to get it right, I am sorry if I am being a total pain/being really dense.

No worries.

Ok, in section 2, look to the right of where it says (3) Breed Irish Draught, (4) says Studbook class, have you got 'SHR' there?
