i would like to know if my boy is now worth more than purchase price!! here goes

14.2 registered welsh sec D gelding 6 years old fashioned type leg in each corner cob, loads of bone and feather, great movement, loads of prescence. hacks alone and in company, easy to load, catch, shoe, clip good in traffic, live in or out. starting to work well in school and is capable of a good dressage test just needs riding forwards into contact to make him stretch and use his back! has just started jumping and loves it! has been shown and placed both inhand and ridden, and would do county level flat or workers, great attitude will give anything a go!
 
I would of said £3-3.5k but I'm useless with the more 'traditional types'. I think (obviously your not selling) that he's quite marketable though.
 
He sounds lovely i would describe my mare the same way but she is only 5yr old, i often wonder what she is worth.
however after looking at horses for sale on web sites, local papers and at sales horses arent selling really unless they are priced realistically. at the welsh sales at york a fortnight ago they where not making fantastic money and there was some nice cobs and ponies.
i would say around £2250 -£2500.

Totally agree...or around £3000 otherwise I think you may have a longer time in selling, but a horse is worth a million to right person so who knows, sounds nice though
