Hi There,
Lack of transport has meant i've not been able to get my young mare out to as many things as i had hoped, she has spectated at a SJ show which she very much enjoyed and behaved impeccibly, shame the same cant be said for my other horse who was competing..!lol But i'd really like to get her out to a bigger show and have a go in the ring and see how she behaved. I dont care what we do as i wouldnt even be aiming for a prize, just literally to see how she reacts in the ring at a busy show.
I was hoping to hack her to Cheltenham show as its close and also its a day when i think i dont have a dog show planned!! Thats a first lol! But having looked at the schedule it seems there is quite literally nothing i can do, which is ridiculous!! The only showing classes seem to be M&M, Coloured or Veteran!! At the very least i thought there would be an "open" class to put her in. She is 4 yrs old and a friesian so she is neither M&M or a veteran, and im pretty sure black doesnt count as "coloured"...! She is too young to do the jumping (we only really have practiced our walk and trot!) and i think im a bit old for gymkhana games. Its great the show is putting on driving classes, and that would be ideal for a friesian, except mine isnt broken to drive....!!!
Am i going mad, or is there really nothing i could do????
I used to go to this show every year and it was a huge show back then, where have all the dressage and showing classes gone?
