so lucky old me has ringworm neither the dogs nor the horses have it but can I give it to them? and do they need to touch the actual ringwormy bit or can it be indirect contact?
I believe you can get it from indirect contact so best keep it covered (so you don't infect surfaces etc) and treat yourself and horse/dog that gave it to you. Keep treating even after rash has gone for a few days. Caneston cream (for girly thrush) treats ringworm-they might even now do a special ring-worm version but it is all pretty much the same (thrush/athletes foot/ringworm) as they are fungal/yeast infections. The spores can live for some time off host so just keep a look out over the next few months for any sore patches on the animals.
