Can I have some CC please? (showjumping)

to be honest if your jumping 3ft6 courses your position cant be that bad! one of the things id say is your lower leg if sometimes quite far back and your then gripping ewith your heels which is then tilting you more forwards.
but to be far, my position is probably alot worse than yours and i really dint think your klooking that bad at all (:

It was more 3'3 I think in that class if I am honest!

Its strange, I am not allowed to do my B Test riding until I can move my lower leg back more as its too far forward, but when I am jumping it then swings back. :o I will work on that :D

Thanks :D

I think your position is pretty good, just think about pushing your weight down into your heels, this will help you to keep your lower leg in place and is easier if your stirrups are short. Just keep telling yourself 'heels down' as you ride the course. I had an SJ trainer a few years ago who whacked up my stirrups and shouted 'heels down' at me all the way round courses, it improved my jumping position and made me far more secure in the saddle.

Re. the B Test, are they saying that your lower leg is too forward on take off and then slips back? Have you ridden something in the past that puts in a stop?

i think you're doing pretty well, I'm not sure about your lower leg, yes it moves about a bit but it's not that bad, I've seen a lot worse!

My main concern is that you're tipping forwards and folding too much at the waist. Once you are a bit more upright and stable in the saddle your lower leg will improve I'm sure.

Your thigh looks quite forward. Can you sort of stick you knee behind the knee roll a bit then everything should move back a bit? Yoour second sig picture looks a better leg position from what I can see bit its too small to see closely.

My horse's owner does have knee rolls for the saddle but she has lost them. I will talk to her and see if I can get them and hopefully that will help :)

Thanks everyone
