Could you help me with my advert please?

http://www.horsemart.co.uk/advert/7_yrs_16_0_hh_dark_bay_irish_draught_x_dyfed/67549

I advertised him on Thursday and I've had about ten replies, half of them pretty serious. I thought I would have had a lot more replies. Maybe I haven't been inundated because I am in the back end of Wales?

Is he overpriced at £2900?
Do I need to change the wording of the ad?
Change the photos?
Or, is the market just slow at the moment, what with winter in its way etc?

I would take a low offer on him as I need to sell fairly quickly. I have a massive vets bill to pay and need the money. But I need a nice home for him.

Thanks. Any advice will be gratefully recieved.

Wow, 10 replies allready? I'd say you've done everything right if you had that kind of response.

People I know of selling horses haven't had a squeek. Have you arranged some viewings??

Pretty dire photos though....

I can see you hav e a gorgeous horse and (sorry if im rude) the pictures dont do him justice because he is a dark colour you need to take pics in bright clear weather. When i read adverts i like them to sounds personal from the current owner instead of short sentences, maybe you dont think like that? you also dont mention wether he would be suitable for a novice rider or go far with a more expirianced? plus if youve done alot with him you may be able to ask for a bit more considering he doesnt have any injuries or vices etc

sorry if im sounding rude or harsh, i just want to help

you have a lovely horse!

I think he's lovely.

The ad reads well I think but I agree that some clearly lit, side on shots (as people often post on here asking for confo critique) would help.

I don't think you should have too many probs selling.

Thanks both.

Perhaps 10 replies isn't bad then.

Yes, think I need to improve my photos. They were taken with a mobile phone and perhaps I need to lighten them. I will try and take more tomorrow I think.

thank you

Oh if only i had that spare cash I would snap him off your hands, he's gorgeous just what I would be looking for in my next horse, but unfortunately like you I also have big vets bill to pay off....oh bother!!!

I can't see your advert being so bad tbh....seems fine to me, I do believe that the market has slowed down a bit...as coming into winter but who knows?

You not had anyone come to see him yet?

If you're going to take new photos tomorrow (sun all day apparently).

Take one conformation shot - no saddle.

One ridden shot - not with him walking away from the camera.

Perhaps a jumping shot.

And a nice head shot.
