Dan Sherriff (dressage man) is coming to do a clinic at our yard on Thursday. I decided it would be a good idea to have a lesson and signed up. Now I'm terrified.
The horse has only been schooling again for about 2 months after 5 years of hacking, and I had those 5 years pretty much off of riding. We've never been into dressage and I'm worried he'll just think we're below him. I'm not scared of working hard and know my position will only improve again with someone shouting at us... But eek!
Please tell me it'll all be okay? We're not horrendous by any means, she works in a decent outline and does understand bending and basic lateral work, but I struggle to really get her going forwards as she tends to switch off in the school and her canter at the moment is so unbalanced it's painful.
