My yard is on the out skirts of Ipswich, and just 5 mins hack from me is a very nice park..... Christchurch park. This has a bridleway that goes through it. However I'm wondering if I come off the bridleway and have a little canter, not anything major. And do long as no ones about. Is this allowed?

I can find nothing anywhere, other then it's for the public to use.... Well I'm public lol.

What do you think?

I'm thinking do it anyways and see what happens.

Find out who owns the park (more likely than not the council) and ask them. If you don't have the right to ride on there someone is bound to complain which may lead to problems with other park users even on the bridleway.

I think its unlikely you would be allowed to ride anywhere other than on the bridlepath. You could always ask, but I wouldn't do it without permission as it will only cause ill feeling if you are seen.

Most town parks have a rules and reg's' poster near gates and usually it will say no horses admitted. I don't think the lawn mowers/keepers would be too impressed to have divots out all over the place either.
