Can I say something nice about the brown horse for a change?

Although he is a toad and full of himself I feel that, in fairness, I ought to make it publicly known that he was a very good boy today.

He went for his first ever grown up hack today. This involved crossing a major roundabout and a road bridge over the A14. We saw three buses an artic lorry, several joggers and a cyclist so it is no mean feat. He didn't bat an eyelid at a single thing the whole hour and ten minutes we were out. I was actually very proud of him (normally I am just embarrassed by him so it made a nice change)

Not many people on the yard are actually brave enough to go over the A14 so I think he did very well :D It was very nice to get out and I am very glad that there are finally some people about who are happy to ride out with the unknown quantity of my big bolshy 5yo!

Thought I should say that as I am only really ever horrible about the poor old man!

Wow, very impressive for a first hack!

It isn't quite his first. We have a couple of tracks out the back of the yard he has been bimbling around but this is his first time dealing with traffic etc. In at the deep end and all that.

I don't think I've ever like him so much as I do today. It was very nice to feel safe rather than sitting on a red hot poker! The mare I had before him was a bit hit and miss in terms of sensibleness!
