..my JRT's? :D

Having just moved to a new house and been of work for a fortnight I am despairing at the amount of hair stuck to EVERYTHING :o

I have 3 girls but one is rough coated and doesn't really cast ( she's the favourite :p )
The other two are mostly white and for two little dogs are producing a ridiculous amount of hair.
I already have a rubber hairdressers broom for the floor and loads of sticky rollers for clothes but my couch is a nightmare to get hairs off of.
Short of wrapping them in clingfilm/shaving them/trading them in for a hairless breed anyone got any tips?

I wouldn't clip, personally - the winter months aren't far off! I would give them a good going over with a shedding blade and then give them a good bath to get rid of excess hair.:)

Amazing how much hair they can drop, knew there was a reason I wanted a rough coated one! I have given up everything I own is covered in dog hair! The hairs seem to knit their way into clothes too! Anyway a good brush with a rubber mit helps for about 10mins then he is back to shedding again :)

My smooth coat sheds like nothing else, absolute nightmare! I take him outside and brush the hell out of him as often as possible (starting with rubbing his coat roughly back and forth with my hands...clouds of coat!) Its that time of year though :( he sheds all year round to a degree but this time of year is worst, even flora is shedding like mad at the moment.

As one of them is technically my OH's I fear he would murder me if he came home to find he sporting a 'number 1' all over :(

Sorry to dissapoint cop-pop ;)

Rough coated dog is now in the bad books despite her lack of shedding after playing tig with an escaped lamb when out a walk. Grrr

I'm tempted to shave Tink every year! Her coat seems a lot longer since she was spayed and she always leaves a cloud of it behind her when she moves no matter how much I brush her!

Bathing works for a day or so but that's such an argument it's not worth it... also been tempted to stick the hoover on her and see what happens. :D

Finn my dearest departed JRT shed like a very sheddy shedding thing...white hairs absolutely everywhere. one day after vaccing the stairs i stared at dog..stared at vacuum attachment and then back at dog.... and thought hmmm, give it a go. She bloomin loved it! She would wriggle her back against it and move around so i could get to the bit she wanted doing next
it didnt stop her shedding but it did reduce the amount of hair that made it to the furniture, carpets, clothing etc.
Also when grooming her id go over her wearing a Marigold glove first which brought loads of hair out

Luckily Mickey, my rough coat PRT hardly sheds at all. He hates the vacuum and tries to kill it every time i get it out
