Can I wear a polo top instead of a shirt?!

I get really cold in my cotton stock shirt. I have a long sleeved polo 'technical competition' shirt that I wear in winter and under XC shirt. It has a stock collar. So would this look ok with a stock and hacking jacket over the top? Or should it go underneath?

Sorry - just pondering!

i wear a variety of different things under my stock & jacket, as long as you are warm & you can't see what's underneath.... it really doesn't matter, i've normally got a combo of Ski thermals, vest, Stock shirt, v neck jumper, waistcoat & hunt coat... i don't like the cold!

I wore something very similar on Saturday, not sure how anyone would tell the difference with a stock and under a hunt-coat/Tweed?

Keep your shirt on! but place a base thermal layer underneath - these are very light but wick away perspiration from the skin but trap a layer of air between the skin and the base layer. Vert very good to keep you warm

I am not a fan of the jersey type hunt shirts and prefer a good old fashioned cotton stock shirt. imo it looks much smarter!
